We are making progress!

We wanted to get Daniel's room finished before he started school, so we put most of our efforts into getting it done. It's not done. But, it is close enough that he was able to move in 3 days before school started. We still have some outlets and baseboard to replace, decor to add, and furniture to arrange. Daniel is very pleased with his current no-sharing bedroom, especially after spending the last 2.5 months sharing a room with both of his brothers. So the progress in photos:

Eureka- we found it!

We were able to purchase a home, finally closing this week. We made our first offer on it at the beginning of February, so it's taken awhile. It was a foreclosure, but is in pretty good shape considering all the other stuff we saw. Still, we have A LOT of projects ahead of us. Dewain is scraping popcorn ceiling as I type. I weed-whacked half the backyard before Nathan needed a nap, but now the swingset it usable. It can entertain Joshua for hours while I work inside. The house is two story, has 5 bedrooms (all upstairs), 2.5 bathrooms, as well as the kitchen, dining room, etc. The backyard is not too deep, but very wide. We are excited to have room for a garden and to put in a few fruit trees. It needs quite a bit of work before we can plant anything, since the grass is dried up and the dirt was compacted by the previous owner's dog(s).

We have about 3 weeks to be completely out of our current place and have it cleaned and shampooed and keys turned in. Wish us luck. We've done quite a bit of packing (thanks Mom), but the work never ends!
